Potential Chinese importers visited the Davao Chamber office

A delegation of Chinese potential importers visited the Davao Chamber office on the morning of November 12, 2016 to meet with the local businessmen of Davao.

As a result of the recent visit of President Rodrigo R. Duterte to China, a delegation of potential Chinese importers visited the Davao Chamber office on the morning of November 12, 2016 to meet with the local businessmen of Davao.

The delegation is composed of members of the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA) headed by their president, Mr. Bian Zenhu.

The Chinese delegation met with players from the agribusiness sector specifically those engaged in banana, fresh fruits and vegetables export as well as other agri-based products. The local businessmen were headed by DCCCII President, Mr. Bonifacio Tan.

Also present during the said meeting were DCCCII Executive Vice President Mr. Sofronio Jucutan, DCCCII VP for Trade and Commerce and Philippine Green Farms Senior Vice President Mr. Luciano Frederick Puyod III and MBFEA Chairman and Maduao Farms President Mr. Romy Garcia. They were also joined by Mr. Angel Puentespina of Puentespina Orchids & Tropical Plants, Inc., Mr. Ruben See of See’s International Manufacturing Corporation, Ms. Rowena Gumtang of the Davao Hogs Association, Mr. Richard Mark delos Reyes and Mr. John Mark Betita (ARR Banana Exporters), Ms. Mona Li (Helon) and VICSMIN President Mr. Bong Cajes accompanied by Ms. Juvy Pregan (DA RFO XI) and Ms. Flordelyn Saavedra (FEDCO Banana Exporter).

The meeting was also joined by Engr. Preslyn S. Ramos (MindaTrade International Corporation), Ms. Lorena Arcenal (Solis Tropical Fruit) and Mr. Liu Hong Zi (CHAT CHAT ABC- Affliate and STF).
