Davao City Chamber’s Industry Sector starts the year with a Consultative Meeting

Being dubbed as the voice of the business community, Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII) VP for Industry, Engr. Wilfred T. Teves, set a meeting with DCCCII members under the Industry sector last January 24, 2017.

The Industry sector is composed of businesses engaged in Real Estate, Manufacturing, Construction, and Energy. The meeting was intended to be acquainted with the Industry members as well as to know the issues and concerns that affects their businesses and the actions needed to be undertaken.

DCCCII VP for Industry Engr. Wilfred T. Teves was attentive in hearing out the concerns of the Industry Members.

Present in the said meeting were Mr. Luigi Escano of Accendo Commercial Corporation, Mr. Lemuel Calatrava of Damosa Land Inc., Mr. Hardinado Patnugot of Davao Board of Realtors Foundation Inc. and Ms. Micah P. Yares of Alsons Development Corporation- all of which are under the Industry of real estate.

For the Construction sector, Mr. Mark Roy Boado and Mr. Max Salazar from Mega Harbour Port and Development Inc. were also present. In addition, the Davao Contractors Association Center Inc. were represented by Engr. Michael Te; Mr. Antonio Uy; Mr. Cesar Suarez; and Mr. Raydel Torremocha.

Dr. Ather Sajid of Eoil and Gas Co. from the energy sector was also present. As for the manufacturing sector, the attendees were Mr. Alan Pang of Metro Ace Innovplas Corporation; Ms. Leny Castillo of Great Gifts & Souvenirs International Corp.; and Mr. Henry Salingay of Macondray Plastics Products Inc.

Upon identifying the issues and concerns laid out during the discussion, it was agreed that a series of follow up meetings per industry will follow. It is also expected to be graced by key persons from agencies that can address the concerns presented.

The consultative meeting aims to achieve the proactive interaction of the Davao Chamber members and officers as a joint effort to uphold its mission to help the business people improve their businesses.
