Davao Chamber 2017 Officers and Board of Trustees Inducted Before President Duterte

The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII) successfully installed its new set of Board of Trustees last January 14, 2017 at the Marco Polo Ballroom, Davao City. The 49th Installation of Officers was graced by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as guest of honor, inducting officer, and keynote speaker.
The new set of officers include: Mr. Antonio T. dela Cruz (Chairman of the Board); Capt. Ronald Go (President); Mr. Sofronio M. Jucutan (Executive Vice President); Mr. Luciano Frederick Puyod III (VP for Trade and Commerce); Mr. Wilfred T. Teves (VP for Industry); Mrs. Teresita Pascual (VP for Agribusiness); Ms. Belinda Torrres (VP for Professional and Service Ventures). Ms. Yvonne Cabada and Mr. Alvin Pinpin holds the same position as Corporate Secretary and Corporate Treasurer respectively.
Davao Chamber Trustees are composed: Mr. Bonifacio Tan; Mr. Arturo Milan; Mr. Antonio Ajero; Ms. Jocelyn Romero; Ms. Jennifer Sazon and Mr. Juanito Ricky M. Tagabucba.
The installation was attended by diplomatic corps, civic organizations, Government Agencies, Davao Chamber Members, and guests. Among those who were present were Ambassador of Singapore Her Excellency Kok Li Peng, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic His Excellency Roberto Sebastian Bosch Estevez, Ambassador of Israel His Excellency Effie Ben Matityau and Chargé d’Affaires of the Australian Embassy Mr. Matt Kimberley. To represent Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Atty. Tristan Dwight Domigo was also present in the event.
Awards were also given to private and public partners of Davao Chamber which have closely worked with DCCCII in various activities and actively supported the advocacies of the organization.
Also present during the Installation was the Finance Secretary, Mr. Carlos “Sonny” Dominguez III who introduced the guest of honor and spoke before the Davao City’s business community about the achievements of the agency in his first months in the office under the administration of PRRD.
As he went on his keynote speech, President Duterte said that he personally witnessed the metamorphosis of the DCCCII President Capt. Ronald Go whom used to be his pilot when he was still Davao City’s Mayor. The president also called for the people to cooperate in order to achieve a clean government to eradicate corruption for the sake of the coming generations.
DCCCII President Go on the same manner, highlighted the importance of being involved in the government’s effort to steer towards change in his Inaugural Address. He said that it is important for businessmen to step up and be a member of the Davao Chamber to take part in the so-called ‘real change’. He also acknowledged PRRD for bringing the spotlight to Davao City.
“Davao is the center of attention for investment and tourism all because of one man standing to fight for change- one man making headway towards nation building.” Capt. Go said.
“We find ourselves in a very opportune time in our history which we should take advantage. We have our president who is family, a Davaoeño,” he added.
The new President, Ronald Go, is a Pilot and the owner of Ecotrans Car Rentals. He was Magna Cum Laude in the class of 1985 of the Philippine Military Academy. Capt. Go began his flying career in the Philippine Air Force. Currently, he operates 5 spray planes and 2 helicopters for the ANFLO Group of Companies and is also the General Manager of Davao Agritech, Inc.
